Adult Policies

  • Pre-registration required.   ( Classes may be full from pre-registrations or moved/canceled for insufficient registrations.)
  • No Refunds after session starts.
  • Returned checks will be charged $ 30.00.
  • Partner STRONGLY Recommended.
  • Fees subject to change without notice.
  • No sandals, flip flops, or platform shoes, for safety reasons.
  • Book Private and Semi Private lessons in advance.
  • Missed or un-canceled Private or Semi Private lessons will be charged the full amount, unless 24 hours is given prior to lesson.

Teen/Youth Policies

Rates and Fees

  • Tuition is payable the 1st of the month.
  • You will only receive a statement if payment is late.  
  • A $10.00 late fee will be charged if not paid by the 15th of the month. An additional $5.00 per month will be charged for every 30 days late.
  • Returned checks will be charged $30.00.
  • Absolutely NO refunds.
  • Monthly payments are the same regardless of the number of lessons in a given month.
  • Make checks payable to CBC, please note on check, what payment is for - tuition,
    registration, costume, etc.
  • Send all payments in an envelope labeled with students name.
  • If a student terminates class without written notification, you will be billed for any missed classes.
  • Families with 2 or more students enrolled, full tuition for 1st student and $5.00 off the 2nd and 3rd students tuition, per month.
  • Various options are available for dancers unable to meet tuition requirements.

Dress Code and Attire 

  • Appropriate dancewear is required for both the sake of the student and the teacher.
  • Having a dress code promotes unity and
    professionalism in the studio. All students are given the same choices, therefor, allowing minimal "competition".
  • When everyone is dressed the same, it makes body placement and alignment easier to see and correct.
  • Absolutely NO Baggy Clothes!
  • NO tank tops, halter tops, tube tops, spaghetti straps, bare midriff, short shorts, short skirts or any other revealing attire allowed at any class, practice, or performance.
  • Girls should wear black jazz pants, CBC  burgundy t-shirt and tan character shoes. Hair must be secured neatly, out of face and off neck.
  • Boys should wear dark slacks that fit, (not baggy), CBC burgundy t-shirt and black jazz shoes.
  • Shoes are available at the Dance Bag, or I will place shoe and t-shirt orders in Sept. – Oct. You can purchase jazz pants at most dept. stores, i.e. Target, Walmart, thrift stores.

Attendance

  • Be dressed and on time to classes.
  • All students are asked to contact the instructor if you are going to miss class or have missed a class, within 24 hrs.
  • 3 unexcused absences in a 5 week period could result in being
    dropped from the roll.
  • Students with bad attendance may loose the privledge of performing
    in the show, due to lack of technique and training.
  • If a student misses 2 classes in a month, they have lost 50% of their
    training for that month.
  • Absences can hold back the student as well as the entire class. Keep
    this in mind around Showcase.

Studio, Class and Practice Conduct

  • Show the proper respect for studio property and equipment, as well as other's
    personal property.
  • Label all personal items, shoes, bags, shoe brush, etc.
  • Each dancer will bring their own personal water bottle and towel, (or use the hose).
  • No eating of food or candy will be permitted in the studio.
  • All cell phones will be turned off or will be taken until the end of class.
  • Pick up all your trash and litter.
  • When you get to class, be productive. Warm up on your own and work on technique, styling and or steps, until class starts. 

Behavior and Attitude

  • Talking and goofing around in class is not acceptable. Please show respect.
  • Conduct yourself in an exemplary manner at all times, by  being helpful, showing respect, courtesy, and good will to the director, your partners, team members and other dancers.
  • Profanity, negative attitudes, gossiping, conflict and contension should not be brought into the studio and will not be tolerated. 
  • Please use the bathroom before or after class.
  • We reserve the right to drop from our roll any student for any reason including:
    distruptive behavior, excessive tardys or absences, nonpayment, etc.

Team Policies

  • Team Tryouts will be held in Sept each year. Returning Team members must tryout every year. 
  • To be a member of Team, you will be required to sign or have a parent sign, (if under 18), a yearly Team Contract
  • A commitment to the Team from Sept. through May is required.
  • If you can not make a performance,  please give me 3 weeks notice, in writing
    (so I don't forget.)
  • Dance Team Boys are expected to have a clean cut appearance with no beards, mustaches, earrings, long hair, shaved heads, or any other distractive appearance.
  • Dance Team Girls are expected to have a wholesome appearance with no revealing clothing, outlandish make-up or hair, body piercing other than ears, or any other distracting appearance.
  • Team members are expected to conduct themselves in an exemplary manner, one that the younger students can look up to.
  • Courtesy and cooperation is expected between Team members, partners and director at all times, places and circumstances.
  • Missed practices will result in being cut from any or all dance numbers of an upcoming performance.
  • 3 Missed performances could result in being dropped from the Team.
  • The amount of dance numbers a student is in will depend on: participation, effort, attendance, and ability.

Costume Policies

  • All students are expected to bring their own hanging garment bag, at the time of costume check-outs.
  • Each dancer is responsible for every costume item checked out.
  • All costumes and accessories will be returned in the same condition they were checked out. (Either hanging neatly on hangers or folded neatly in labeled baggies.)  Any costume or accessory not returned in this manner will be charged $5.00 per item.
  • Costumes will be turned in by the next class day following the performance. A $5.00 late fee will be charged if over a week late.
  • Any missing or damaged items will be paid for, replaced, or repaired by the dancer responsible for that item.
  • No costume or accessory will be loaned out for anything except
    approved dance rghtDownLeftLeft.gifperformances and/or competitions.
